In contrast, in developed countries such as the United States, the share of steel structures in residential buildings reaches more than 30%.

China Steel Structure Association expert committee director Chen Lu Ru analysis that: China's steel structure residential development, not only subject to the level of economic development, the level of technology and product support, but also subject to people's ideological resistance - mainly the lack of sufficient understanding of steel structure residential, that the price of steel structure residential "on the high side"; in addition to developers too much consideration of their own economic interests, the lack of long-term thinking about industrial development.

In the view of the industry, although the cost of steel structure residential than traditional residential cost is quite high, but because steel structure residential can save labor costs, 70% of the process can be completed in the plant, on-site construction and installation speed, can save manpower, capital, time costs for construction enterprises. In April this year, the Ministry of Housing and Construction approved the first batch of 15 steel structure enterprises as the pilot enterprises for general contracting of housing construction projects, which means that the steel structure construction industry has achieved further "unbundling" in the system and mechanism. Industry analysis, with the promotion of urbanization, China's future annual urban residential market of several hundred million square meters, so the steel structure residential market does not exist problems. The key lies in the ability to develop the market, whether there is a good steel residential products, whether the industrialization of steel residential structure.
